Life Lessons Poem by Emily Wang

Life Lessons

O ocean,
please don't wash my footprints away from the sand.
I want to make a mark in this world,
just give me one chance.

When we waste each precious second,
our souls are full of sorrow,
so live each moment to the fullest,
because we might not have tomorrow.

And when the day is over,
nobody thinks that they might not survive.
Gratitude is what we lack,
that's why we close our eyes.

People who live live forever,
in history and our minds.
Those who don't silently die,
But me? I'll open my eyes.
