Life Over A Fire Poem by Ardimus Caldwell

Life Over A Fire

Listening to words being told over a fire
Lies dropped
Kissing the floor
As more wine is poured
Listening and bouncing my head
Eyes closed
Thinking how wonderful if a spark of fire catch your hair
I mean that other person's
Or what if that last word was your last
Naw then where would I be
Jail
Prison
I think not
Fight for what I believe
Seen from movies through the television eye's
No not my plan
But if I run...
Naw
Still a thought though so don't tempt me
Your lies must be the truth
To you if any how
Because this man right is done with this
The smiles shaped by another
Yeah that part I know
Could this be
Trouble with little miss perfect
Oh sorry miss never get caught
Well yes I know
How long did you think it was going to happen
Before my train came
Like the wind it has blown me away
Save tears for the last time
Read this letter and you see why that I must leave
Some where out there my wife needs me
