Life's Chief Purpose Poem by Paul Sebastian

Life's Chief Purpose

Share what has been endowed
Giving is an act pleasing to God
Lend ears for understanding
Empathize, those inside hurting

Be thankful for your many blessings
Some are worse off, quietly suffering
You are blessed with many things
The less fortunate have nothing

If life is of any meaning
It must be one of giving
It must be one to serve
Living to care and love

Strive to do all that you can
Through this short life span
Doing your utmost best
Be your heavenly quest

Focus on what you are pursuing
Guarding against mind shifting
Not put off, by procrastinating
Become your dream, recreating

Burn with desire to succeed
Take a path, only you can lead
The less traveled road, you chose
To realize your life's chief purpose
