Life's Hues Poem by Dennisa Davidson

Life's Hues

Rating: 3.5

Life is like a Rainbow
Filled with colors somber and bright
All shades of grief and passion
Linger and twinkle in its light

The colors are varied in hue
Mixture of passion and pain on the palette
Each color the picture adorns
By a smile or a tear it was born

The primary colors are three
That God gives to you and to me
To mix and to temper
What the canvas will capture and remember

One loads the black, fills life with grey
One whips out the white, washing grey away
One spills on red, with angry heart and head
One wipes it with yellow, making the board glow

The colors we are given
We can’t change till we are in heaven
But we do make the hues
By the mix we daily choose

Fill life with Rainbow colors
To shine bright for you and others
When the colors are done and over
What the canvas holds will glow forever.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

God arranged colors in the rainbow. A painter assembled them in the palette. Mrs Davidson has given us another picture.
