Life's Little Pleasures... Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

Life's Little Pleasures...

Rating: 5.0

Life's little pleasures
Are the real treasures
That makes it twinkle
And provide it with a sparkle.

So take into the stride
The beauty of the ride
Instead of yearning for the destination
As the sole ambition.

Waiting for something big to happen
May with disappointment our spirit dampen.
Ah! let me take leave for I hear a musical song
That a cuckoo airs to me this idle idyllic morn.

So take into the stride The beauty of the ride Instead of yearning for the destination Instead of impatiently waiting to reach the destination, let us enjoy the trivial pleasures and joyous sights on the way! It is small pleasures that make life colourful.... Beautiful poem!

Really wonderful rhyme and serious thoughts having in the poem. It is a fact that contentment of life lies in little pleasures instead of large ones and beautifully told in poetic lines and likes it.
