Life Through A Horses Eye Poem by jayne huggs

Life Through A Horses Eye

you tried to get me to jump scary poles
you whipped till i bled
my heart feels like its full of holes
you gave me so many scars on my head

why are you loading me into a moving box
i promise i will behave more well
please dont treat me like a fox
by making me go through hell

where are we going
what is this place
look at these horses why are they being topped
stop pulling me let me go at my own pace

dear horse why are you crying
whats wrong
whats that horse trying
whats that drone like a song

im crying tears of fear
that horse is screaming endless pain
we all get killed off like deer
no human here is sane

they sing songs of freedom
before they hit deaths kingdom

ive been here for one day
i can only think whilst i lay
drowning in my tears and pain
i fear i may be next

oh how cruel this world can be
we didnt mean no harm
we were born so happy like a sparkle in the sea
now my life is an alarm

any moment it will go off
then my life will end
i wont even get chance to have my last cough
humans will never be innocent theres too many lives to mend
