Lifeboat Poem by Mellisa Salazar

Lifeboat

You musn’t always choose pain

to know what is needed to know

surely there’s always a gain

whichever path you choose to go

you can climb the height of mountains

or dive to the depths of the sea

or you can hop into my canoe

and row along merrily with me
