Lifeless Poem by Shay Mitchell

Lifeless

Rating: 4.5

murmured voices shake my comfort
shoving me into unwanted lies.
walls lock me away from the light
leaving me clueless to the foreplay.

rumors and deceit spread like a disease
among the people i once saw as friends.

smoke fills my greedy lungs
embracing every fate-filled breath.

my muscles relax after the dreadful day
whispers and giggles followed me relentlessly.
no mercy was shown or spared
for the girl with cuts all up her arms.

worry, as false as gods love, covers many faces
bringing crazed laughter to my lips.

the sky is still blue and flawless
showing no acknowledgement to the pain.

the blood may be free-falling
painting the floor with the stories.
the breathing may cease
but nothing ever alters it's course.

my life may end silently
yet yours will continue on.

fear not the way of life,
for life was always meant to die.
