Light Of The Tunnel Poem by J.D.Fr The Sailor

Light Of The Tunnel

Rating: 5.0

In gloomy despair, absolute dark, oppressive nothingness,
demons galore, and hope a distant memory,

Rushing to where ye know not, feelings ruptured and
senseless, victimization beyond measure,

Strain thy eyes to pierce the shroud of darkness, look
neither to the rear or side, but focus to the front,

See that which is to seen, sense that which thee wish, feel
the presence of that which thee need.

Think not of a hundred, hundred dead ends, nor the
thousand, thousand might have beens,

Cast aside the cloak of doom, ignore the stones and arrows
of misfortune, stare the albatross down,

Let the suggestion of hope lightly form upon thy unseeing
eyes, feel the warmth of hope upon thy face,

Hesitate not at the belly tugging that promises great pain,
but joyous life, and love beyond measure.

Know the teaching that first shall be last, and the last
shall be first, and meek are truly worthy,

Feel the nurture of time, healing all wounds, the wash of
tides sweep away bitter dregs of yesterday,

Dare to hope, preserve to endure, strive to finish the
journey ill begun, hear the whispers long without,

See the glow that is a spirit that knows thee and yet
remains, feel the strength lifting thee up.

Tis a shine but faintly at first, constrained by the
terrible tunnel of thy struggles and misfortunes,

Reach with all thy might to that err too long has been
foreign to thine soul, and gone from thy touch,

Know from thine core out, that this light shall not dim,
but shall grow ever stronger in thy need,

The devils of the past will be dispatched, aid, comfort,
and succor there for thine partaking.

All this and more does the light at the end of tunnel
attest, and this is only a hint of what will be.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

a very touching poem with deep feelings from a wise poet who is able to realise the gloom of this life which bloom at the end of that tunnel...a difficult way you drew to a strong soul who can step into the unknown, who can sail in the darkness of that sea among the stormy waves un aware of what there will be except a leading light from a praying heart and a caring eyes to make that spirit more strong to reach it's goal, the end of any dark tunnel there always will be a light which along with that wounded soul will cry when it will be rewarded for it's tears and it's sighs.....
