Light-Socket Man Poem by Kelly Zion

Light-Socket Man

I feel like the Light-Socket Man
when someone electrocutes me
you plug into the light socket
you cram this plug into my face.

I feel like the Light-Socket Man
when I don't have words to say.

I feel like the Light-Socket Man
I feel hurt and surprised
I feel like the Light-Socket Man
when you shine this light into my eyes.

The eye doctor told me not to blink
but I'd rather blink then go blind,

No, you can't touch my eyes,
Light-Socket Man.
