Lightning Thunder Wind Rain Poem by Sean McCoy

Lightning Thunder Wind Rain

On the horizon a brief flash
In the distance a soft boom
Through the treetops a short woosh
From the pavement a light hiss

Flash! lightning fills the sky
Boom! thunder consumes the void
Woosh! wind dances through the leaves
Hiss! first dropp kisses the ground

The lightning blinds the eye
The thunder deafens the ears
The wind cools the flesh
The Tempest surrounds the spirit

On the horizon lightning fades
In the distance thunder quiets
Through the treetops wind softens
From the pavement perfume rises
