Like A Poet Poem by Olumide Bisiriyu

Like A Poet

Like a Poet
Regurgitating my own words
Blabbing about a path rarely thread
I come with a humble demeanour
To pour out my heart to you

Like a Poet
Swinging on my swirva chair
I turn around 360 degrees
Yet I found you staring at me

Like a poet
I just want to be far away from you
Yet at the same time, I found out
I just want to be too close to you

Like a Poet
I realise it doesnt matter the way I said it
So long as I drive home my point
So I’m dropping all my pen and my papers
Just to tell you that I love you!
