With all of me, I loved this man
Did everything I could the best I can
We made a commitment to love for life
He as my husband and me as his wife

But things have since then change
What was then familiar now is strange
Alone in a bed I sleep at night
Longing for things again to be right

All good things must come to an end
Now I must dust off and try again
The man for me would never leave me
He would never hurt me or deceive me

I’m sure he felt good doing me wrong
But really I should thank him for making me strong
He gave strength to what he thought was a weak link
A woman is a whole lot stronger than we think

Another woman has the love I once knew
The heart of a man I felt so true
Wow, she’s happy she has a man
But I know that for them God has a plan

My tears have dried up now and I can smile today
I know my true love will be here one day
Because I have let go of what is not mine anymore
Like an eagle soaring to new heights to explore
