Like Shards Of Shattered Glass Poem by David Harris

Like Shards Of Shattered Glass

Rating: 5.0

When our lives lie in pieces
like shards of shattered glass,
a lone piper plays a solemn tune
under a faltering moon.
We look at the world with sad eyes
as the throngs move to and fro,
and the ashes of our lives
are tossed into prevailing winds
to be carried on times rainbow
to some distant shore
hoping in the magic there
they will be reconstructed
and return to us once more
making us whole again.

Kind of like one of my poems, but more optimistic.
