Like migratory Siberian birds,
You flew many a thousand mile,
And settled in my orchards
To give me company for a while.
Over the mountains and seas
You flew for warmth and sunshine,
And I had no dearth of that,
So for me, it was just fine.
Together we shared a nest,
And some moments of rest,
And some grains,
And some pains,
Only for months a few,
And then you flew,
Back to your homeland.
So here again, lonely I stand.

Lovely write! The Siberian birds, to escape the bite of winter, come to warmer climates for an interim and fly back! Here I wonder if the bird is a metaphor! Someone came to share the warmth of your heart for sometime and left, leaving you lonely and love sick!
Thank you Valsa, for the thoughtful comment. The bird is of course a metaphor here, although the 'I' in the poem could be someone that I know.

I would like to translate this poem
Back to your homeland. Nice work.
Thanks for appreciating, dear EKL.
