Like So

So I just like left
a restaurant where
a heavy bevy of teachers
was having like fun
and the conversation
was like, you know, like enchanting
and their jokes
were like raunchy but like funny
and they were all like
from different like places
and one of them said
he was now like really happy
and then a woman said that
that was like exactly how she felt
and like someone’s car
was like at the shop
and it was like,
I mean like they were like talking
like it was really like late and
she was like so bored
till I was like so glad to leave

and I guess
if they’d like known
what I was like really like

they’d be like so glad to like know
that I like had to leave.

Poem of the Day

poet Christina Georgina Rossetti

Where sunless rivers weep
Their waves into the deep,
She sleeps a charmed sleep:
Awake her not.
Led by a single star,
She came from very far
