Lion Of Judah Poem by Patrick Fealy

Lion Of Judah

Mother of the infant man born of man's decay
Truth and wisdom all in one where angels must obey
Sun and stars and moon below a child upon her knee
Human glory long foretold where fallen angels flee
I have seen her littleness confound the mighty thrones
Seat of wisdom ark of God her beauty stands alone
And so it was it came to pass that God had come to stay
Amid the rabble of the road where lambs will often play
The children of the morning will count their gifts of gold
In celebration of that feast where glories now are told
How heaven upon looking down did find a beauty rare
Amid the blooming roses where God would make His lair
