Lips Poem by Cierra Calvano

Lips

Music tumbles down
Feet tapping
Fingers drumming

Run away
From so many dreams lost
So many faces spoiled
Too many nights spent on the floor
With someone else on my mind

Your lips
Never made a difference to me
Yet your words
Poison my mind
Bind my hands

You run away
From my heart so willing
My hands so empty
My lips so desperate
My lips never drew yours

I'd rather brave fights and abuse
Than brave your silence
Because rough love is the best
And you are my drug
