Liquid Happiness Poem by Can I Live?

Liquid Happiness

Like harsh letters written only for hardened eyes,
Words float upon the page as if engraved in metal,
Ever present, a permanent scar on a disposable truth.
There is no savior for your name, signed in hardened glass.

Those that have endured torture to save your innocence,
That have suffered under the pain of a thousand lashes for you…
A wave of matted, blood-stained heads,
The remnants of their strength open for public judgment,
I’m going to spread the ashes of your soul over them,
And it will taste like rain,
Because rain tastes like freedom,
And solemn, grave days in the park,
And happiness liquified and poured into our mouths.
