Listen Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Listen

Listen

I tried
I roll in bed
A hand pillow
One holds breasts
It's: 'Hey I love you.'

Empty bed
You are absent
All are memories
My gestures choked
You're silent suffocated.

You
You never
You never saw
What I had for you
In my heart, my mind

You
You are
You are lonely
under separate roof
Alone I read the paper

Syria, Canadian girl:
'If unable to travel to Canada
With him I stay; love to death.'
