Listen To The Wind Poem by Catherine Riley

Listen To The Wind

Counting down the days not far away
Take the journey down the side of yesterday
And if there’s a chance I’ll learn
I’ll listen to the wind

And then time stood still
We touched, in the heart of the wind
We crossed over the dividing lines
And The magic we shared in our perfect desire
Then our love came undone... in the spell...
Of something that was once broken
In the light of responsibility and haste, we were suddenly woken.

Although we’ve got another moment to share
To share a piece of something more than special
And I can’t believe, this has happened to me.

I’ll let you take a little piece of my soul
take a little piece of my peace
Take a little piece of my heart
to keep with you when you are alone

And when one becomes two
Moulded like clay
I’ll never look back

Look at me I’m so lost in the world
Without you by my side
Till the end of my life tell me, what can I do?

No matter the form,
No matter the way,
No matter your manner,
You’ll be flawlessness in the light of pure perfection

Now I have another secret to share
And I can’t explain how it feels so new

For someone to take a little piece of my soul
take a little piece of my peace,
and to take a little piece of my heart
to keep with you when you are alone
when all I know is the hurt, dire surface of this supposed feeling.

Now we have another moment to share
I still can’t explain how it always feel so new
But I want you, to take a little piece of my soul
I ask you, to take a little piece of my peace
And I beg you, to take a little piece of my heart.

Because I’ll be counting down the days not far away
Take the journey down the side of yesterday
And if there’s a chance I’ll learn
I’ll listen to the wind
