Little Dog - Poem by Rachael Batlett

so much depends upon

a brown and white stuffed dog

covered with soft fur

on top of the young girl’s bed

so many memories to keep before its meaning for good went to sleep

brown dog, white dog being squeezed tight

while the little girl sleeps throughout the night
