Little Explosions Poem by Rickardo BecklesBurrowes

Little Explosions

After the smoke has cleared
When all the weapons have been put away
Just think on all we’ve feared
All the things we didn’t say,
Now one war has ended
Some wounds begin to heal
In time terrorised hearts have mended
Hollowed bodies have started to feel,
Loss of life and humanity our penance
Our tears map the sorrow, the angst
Belief in all our good what we have left
For this we give thanks.
