Little Learning Poem by Amitava Sur

Little Learning

Rating: 4.5

Think big of me,
The knowledge
Gets shaken.

The door way
For wisdom
Is shut before me.

Can never
Taste and estimate
The beauty of the Heaven at all.

A human, complete with
Knowledge and Wisdom
Can only witness
The beauty of Heaven.

Little I learned
Think big of me,
But the Heaven
Always remained away from me.

A short but thorough poem regarding learning. A little bit of it is shaking you to learn more, gaining knowledge. Yet still the doorway to wisdom is shut, because we can never estimate the beauty of heaven while still on earth. Thinking we have learned much, finding we still know very little we do not go forward gaining wisdom, we must wait for it to come, meanwhile continue expecting and learning. This poetical explanation goes a long way in expressing the ongoing inner battle we all have regarding wisdom and heaven one day. Excellent poem, Amitava! 10

Rightly said that little learning is vulnerable...........like a frog in the well.........wisdom has it, learn and know the heaven..........a great piece with a great message.....................

Learning may say there is a heaven and there is a path to it. But no learning will take one there.

I know it's not you, you have described a person who learns a little and thinks he has become a learned man. A nice poem.
