Little One Poem by Margaret Whitsell

Little One

Dear little one
Its been two birthdays now, that I have missed
I can't be there, so I have asked God to send
an Angel to give you a kiss
I have asked Jesus to wrap his arms around you
and tell you that I will always "Love You"!
This birthday you will be eleven
May God send you blessings from heaven
I know you aren't little anymore
You are tall and slender and beautiful too
And oh! What gorgeous eyes of blue
And even though you are growing up fast you see
You will always be little one to me
I hope you like this porcelain doll from me
It reminds me of you, even though its eyes aren't blue
It's name is Brave and Free
By now, with much love from grammy
