Little Sentry Poem by Bill Williams

Little Sentry

I can still see that little cross,
Standing high up in the sky,
Like God's faithful sentry,
For all that passes by. The cross that gave us promise
And reminds us of His love
Lingers deep in my memory,
Like a message from above. That little church still stands,
On the corner, by the hill
Where as a child, I went there
To pray to do His will. For back in that green valley
While I was growing up,
The faithful always prayed there,
And drank from our Savior's cup. His words, I shall always remember,
For He wanted me to know
"If that which he said, were not true,
He would have told me so."
