Little Things Poem by Jim Yerman

Little Things

When faced with tragedy or heartache
how does one withstand the pain?

By remembering the little things in life...
like the sky after a rain.

Like sunlight painting the morning sky
as it welcomes in the day..

Like memories, laughter and friendships
we've made along the way

Like smiles, hugs, melodies and sunsets...
how a baby's laughter is sublime...

Perhaps the only way to climb out of sorrow...
Is one joy at a time.
