Live In A Shell Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Live In A Shell

Rating: 4.0

I heard he's from this country,
I know him not so well,
But he always has his story,
And then he breaks my shell.
I know he's come from that place,
So far, so foreign to me,
Telling me all of the story,
Telling it all like it is.
Don't say anymore of it.

I do not want to hear that too.

But then he does not listen, and the truth I see,
And so it shows and glistens,
Enlightening and blinding me.

You see I was so lost then,
I really couldn't see,
I lived my important life,
Who cares of their strife?

Other be gone, they aren't dear,
But I am wiser now, to truth so near,
For that person from that country,
He's enlightened me.
