Live Real Life Poem by Hannah Hebditch

Live Real Life

It’s a hard sailed ship fallen to the end of your tears
It’s the hope bleeding from your eyes
You told you were okay
But I know you’re just as blind as I was

It’s a lost soul inside your head screaming for help
It’s a fire that never burnt out
I should’ve know
You’ll never let go now

It’s the memories scraping across your skin
It’s the sharpened fingers piercing your emotions
You can’t become strong if you let yourself get weak
You can’t fight something if you run away from it

It’s the dead children in their graves wishing to live away
It’s the harsh thoughts running through you
Life has to be lived like real life
Dreams have to be dreamt like real dreams
