Neela Nath

Lo!

Lo! the tear from
the blue at your
garden falling
as the frozen
grief right from
the lap of heaven!
You never tried
to miss my heart!
You said,
I'm your root.
Is it?
Why does then
the tree disbelieve
and giggle at
my undone fault.
I don't know
and even you
don't know who
are you,
the fountain which
speedily passes
the deep
ditch of hill
or, a gentle
rivulet
to give caress
on the fevered
chambers....
I want to put
a question mark.

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
