Lone Selenophile Poem by Asma Mejdi

Lone Selenophile

Nights were her favourites,
dark,
and solemn,
she loved them best.

So taken was she
by her beloved nocturnal guest,
that she wanted none,
and none held her interest.

Little did she need
in her celestial quest,
but the chant of the heart
pulsing in her chest.

A moonchild,
she was called,
who fell to earth
from the lunar nest.

The moon is alone in the sky but beautifies my nights. Thanks, Asma
