Lone Tear Poem by George Pairpoint

Lone Tear

A lone tear bleeds from my sleepless eye,
As I gaze upon the moonlit sky,
You'll play on my mind for evermore,
I long for the day when you'll walk through my door,
It feels as though you are years away,
In reality tis no more than a day,
A moment with you, your hand in mine,
Makes my inhibitions run and hide,
So won't you kiss me in the rain?
Relieve me of this heartfelt pain.
