Lone- Walker Poem by Debolina Chakrabarti

Lone- Walker

Rating: 4.5

Walking down the same lanes-
Alone all alone…
My hands are searching for that touch again- all but in vain.
I did not go looking for you, you just happened to me...
Most likely I was not ready for the prize then, and I started to disagree.
That I walk without you, my steps are so heavy-
I have become a burden now –too hard for me to carry.
I stretch my hands to hold you and find none’s there,
That, ” I have lost you forever”, says my deepest fear.
I cry out your name aloud-
But my voice sinks in this wild crowd.
Still want to say, “I miss you too much and you rest in my veins-
This is a place fixed for you, and that it will always remain …”
