Loneliness

I should be sleeping by now
As I had a very long day
Went to work and a musical show
I am exhausted in every way

Can you feel the love tonight
Do you feel you burning with love
But there is not any at sight
Only a touch of a gentle dove

I cry out to you my lover
I am really very empty on the inside
I don't want to be a giver
I don't want to wear a mask outside

Won't just someone care to love me
Won't just anybody pray to love me

Poet's Notes about The Poem

The feeling of emptiness at this point of life is really taking a toll. Hope seems to be lost, people seems to vanish, there is no one to walk beside you, worst you felt neglected and unimportant in this broken world!

Poem of the Day

poet Ambrose Bierce

Weather
by Ambrose Bierce

Once I dipt into the future far as human eye could see,
And I saw the Chief Forecaster, dead as any one can be--
Dead and damned and shut in Hades as a liar from his birth,
