Loneliness Poem by Kathryn Miller

Loneliness

Rating: 5.0

It takes my breath away,
At how much power it has to control me,
To take my life away,
When my friends are near you hide behind a smile,
You are loneliness,

You can't work alone,
Because you won't leave me,
You get someone else to,
But you don't care,
That he was my only,
Because you are loneliness,

You act in the cruelest ways,
That cut threw me like a shard of glass,
You never show mercy,
For you that is a sign of weakness,
Because you are loneliness,
And that is your job,
A job that never fails.
