Lonely Christmas Poem by Alice Yelinsky

Lonely Christmas

Left behind and rejected
It's lonely in my room
Snow falls silently to the ground
The world will be burried soon

There's nothing worse than being alone
On Christmas holiday
I've got a new obsession
The deepest depression

The snow, full of beauty
Hypnotizes me

I long to be like you
To fall silently like you
Loved by everyone
And soon to be gone

Ignored and forgotten
I've got no one to share these emotions
It's snowing outside this prison
I've almost forgotten my depression

There's nothing worse than having no one
To share your love with on Christmas
You're lucky 'cause you've got something
That no on else does

Many friends to surround you
With a feeling you're used to

I long to be like you
Cold on the ground for you
To be separated from reality
To be free

Maybe someday
I'll have somebody too
But on this Christmas day
I want to bury myself in you

I long to be like you
To fall silently like you
Loved by everyone
And soon to be gone

I long to be like you
Cold on the ground like you
To be separated from reality
To be free

It's lonely in my room
The world will be burried soon
I'll wait for the death of today
Guess it's gonna be another lonely Christmas day
