Lonely Flower Poem by Mohsen Moqim Hanjani

Lonely Flower

In the middle of a garden of flowers
There is one standing all alone
Hopeless of any smell and lovers gaze
Had escaped to the kindness of the wind
In he hopes that the morning wind
Will always come and make her grim
And there will be a day
When a lover rides and comes with the wind

Days passed and the wind too forgot
The lonely branch of flower of ours
And the rider that he was waiting for
Chose to give his heart to the see

Sadness and sorrow reached the rout of the flower
Took away its smell and it sweet flavor
But she still told herself it is fine
The other are alone and are not better than I
But a hand came and took the bunch of flowers
And our lonely flower died out all alone
