Lonely Mess Poem by Denis Martindale

Lonely Mess

Poverty can create the stay at home lifestyle,
yet offers no life and no style.
The television offers the only voice that's sharing
at least something worthwhile.
Fake friendships unless emailing the TV shows
offering them your opinions,
then friendship for a few seconds and no more.
Ever tried sharing your life with strangers or neighbours?
Sometimes it's as easy as pie,
at other times you wanna go home,
just go home and die...
