Lonely People Poem by Nicky McNeil

Lonely People

Lonely people walk in the park
holding hands with the air
whispering nothings sweetly
no one hears, no one cares

Lonely people at the movies
popcorn and coke for one
no other to share a laugh, tear
or a chocolate Hershey's kiss

Lonely people creative at night
singing sorrowfully blue songs
writing long sad sweet poems
no one to sing or read them to

Lonely people all dressed up
never really any place to go
yeah; I know a thing or two
about those lonely people
