Lonely Road Poem by Robert Eclipse

Lonely Road

Rating: 5.0

I walk this long
Twisted road
Alone.

no-one to
my left.

no-one to
my right.

no-one to
my front
but my
lonely
shadow.

a desolate
wasteland
to either
side,
stretching
out boundless
and bare.

no end to
the road,
i see
before me,

no way
back
so i can
repent.

not a soul
to be seen
or found,
not even
my own
as i walk
this long
twisted
road
alone.

I've walked this road, as have many. Every road eventually ends. This is no different.
