Lonely Souls 2 Poem by David Harris

Lonely Souls 2

Rating: 5.0

When friends are few
and no one talks to you,
loneliness like a sleeking ghost
creeps through an open window
and endows you with a cloak
to smother you with emptiness.
It leads you through the desolation
that erodes your soul
and into the epos of despair.
No lifelines are thrown
and an engaging silence halos around you.
You life is held in limbo and going nowhere.
Tears like a fountain spring fall
and you ask yourself why.
Is there no one out there
who even wants to say hi?
Is everyone too busy as they pass by
to say a word or two?
However before you do please remember
there are plenty out there
who are lonely souls like me.
