Lonely Souls
As our life gets older
and our friends get few,
those who are remaining
would like to hear from you.
It doesn’t have to be a long letter,
just a couple of lines would do.
Just to let them know
that everything is well with you.
A few minutes spared
can mean so much too many
because I suspect
there are many lonely souls
who wish they had a friend like you.
