Long Distance Loving Poem by Ruby Honeytip

Long Distance Loving

Don't forget
You are still the place
Where my heart stops
And smilingly
Wonders if it's been stolen.
You being
This man of poetry
Are not to leave me
Even on one of those lonely days
Where your hands cup
A cold distance.
Please...don't stare so long at it!
Stare at me...or
You might forget
The burn we are
You might remember me
As the cold deception of time
Don't leave me feeling
Like a pocket picked!
Remind me that I am
More than illusion to you
Remind me that I am
Your eternity of loving surrender
Remind me that
I am
Yours
And that you know me
Beyond what you know
Remind me that I matter
In your love and your truth.
If you leave me now
You surrender me to nothing

I hope you can keep a promise
