Long Lost Friend Poem by Thistle Wargul

Long Lost Friend

Rating: 4.5

Helpless to help
Too sad for sorrow,
Here yesterday
Just gone tomorrow.
Where have you gone my long lost friend?
Where is the friendship we promised no end?

All the memories we shared,
Full of joy and happiness,
Even when we fought
We both came back.
Whispering our secrets,
To fairies on the breeze,
Cares washed away
By humming of the bees.

Helpless to help
Too sad for sorrow,
Here yesterday
Just gone tomorrow.
Where have you gone my long lost friend?
Where is the friendship we promised no end?

Listening to music,
And not doing our homework.
Staying up late
Instead of going to sleep.
The number of times
In tight spots we found;
Companions stuck up
Or waited around.

Helpless to help
Too sad for sorrow,
Here yesterday
Just gone tomorrow.
Where have you gone my long lost friend?
Where is the friendship we promised no end?

Maybe the future can help us to mend?
