Long Winter Nights Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Long Winter Nights

In the long winter nights
How the clouds loud obscure
The trembling star lights
And their mantles white?

Long, long the centuries pass
And winter nights will still
Be long and hold their sway
Over the Earth and humans.

For there be Beauty in the
Winter nights; for there
Be Beauty in the winter storms
For there be Beauty in the
Reign of sleep; for there
Be Beauty in the reign of dreams.
