Longing Poem by Leonardo David Tay

Longing

Where are you?
Where, in a world so vast?
Who are you?
"Who? " one would ask

These spaces between my fingers,
Hollow, so in seclusion
An aching of longing lingers,
For I desire inclusion

Fill in those spaces,
By fingers of another
For my heart races,
For one I seek in heart's shelter

Love's absence,
A void of torment
Joy's clearance,
Through sorrowful lament

Many a heart will shatter,
And leave scars of desperation,
In one's shards that clatter,
On the earth of depression
