Look at That Ole River Run Poem by Little Eagle McGowan

Look at That Ole River Run

Rating: 5.0

Look at that ole river run
Winding with the road
Like two old best friends through the years
And an eagle in the sun
Up above the crows
Praying that they don't see his tears

Ain't it funny how time flies
Who knows where it goes
But if you been reading the signs
Part of you that don't die
And what every heart knows
Is what you give away down the line...

Love dem that you want to
Be what you can be
Sing every song you can sing
Every dream you're on to
The vision… you see
Fills the dark like starlight in spring…

Chorus:
Draw near my fire
Let the circle live on
We are children of light from the stars
All eternally wired
And universally known
By the wonder of love that we are.

Your advise on the poem Money, Money Money was spot on. I do hope that he take the advise to read more of Langston Hughes, his poetry will be the richer for it. Money as a means to an end is indispensable, , 'tis the attitude toward it that taints it. respect arises only from within. Read mine - My Heart Is Native - Adeline |
