Look At You Now Poem by Jay Lude

Look At You Now

Rating: 5.0

Do you remember
When you could walk alone
You'd sit there with your girlfriends
Not worry bout a cell phone

Do you remember
When your friends made you cry
Not many boys talked to you
And you were very shy

Do you remember
When i was you best friend
Then there was a big change
When summer came to an end

Your body began to change
You were no longer flat
People heard that you put out
And guys really like that

Now guys take advantage of you
No matter how hard you try
And when you think you've found true love
They leave you there to cry

You can't dress up without
Guys looking up your skirt
And you can't go for a midnight swim
Without giving up your shirt

One time I was around
I didn't know what to do
I felt completely helpless
Letting them do that to you

I sat there in the corner
As you struggled in the pool
And when the night was over
I felt just like a fool

Lately I've had these feelings
That have hit me quite strong
But someone's still in love with you
And that would just be wrong

I talked to him bout you
Told him your a chance he has to take
I told him if he let you go
He'd make my same mistake

You asked me to write you something
So with this i will end
I hope you two really work out
And I'm glad to be your friend
