*look In The Mirror Kids, You'Re Beautiful

Rating: 2.7

Today, I thought I'd write a song
About the way your body glistens in the moonlight
But this is not that song
No this is not that song
This is for everyone who has been wrong
Or wronged, not told the truth,
Heartbroken, left hanged out to dry
This is for the boy who sits in the back
Of the room and stares at this girl
Who wears these glasses with frames a little too big
And they hide her pretty face
And he knows that if she just took them off
Then she'd be beautiful
And maybe look in the mirror and realized she's beautiful
And this is for that girl
Who hides behind the frames and the dark eye makeup
Because her boyfriend told her that that's just what beautiful is
And the mini skirts and the tight sweaters
Oh if he just took the chance to know her
He'd know she just wants to wear jeans
And t-shirts that show her arms, but she can't
‘Cause they're laden with scars, past memories
These memories haunting
Yeah this is for the used, others were amused
Used for their entertainment, then gone
No no one really knows if that girl will meet that boy
Even though it's so obvious to everyone else
That if they went out they'd be such a cute couple
They're perfect for each other
Yeah he'd take care of her, and her of him
And maybe once we'd have a happy ending
But sometimes all you can do is let it bleed
