Lord Jim Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Lord Jim

Lord Jim

I read Lord Jim while he is on the screens, desktop, TV.

I also read Mukherjee, Melville, “Multi-task, ” some may say.

No, no, no, no, no, it is need; only need…

My work half done, is politics, kidnapped at sea
And I must read.

My mind leaps back to the time, years-decades and the movie…

On corner of Shah-Reza, and Laleh-Zar, there was a theatre
Taj-Cinema … Lord Jim was on silver screen…
Peter O’Toole was known; not Conrad…

He writes of sea, that is my need
After Dark Heart, must end Lord Jim
Also others like Mark Twain and too, Melville.

I need them all, with what can get.
